Child Care
This course provides students with opportunities to learn, understand and explore the development of children from birth to five years. Students are given the opportunity of gaining hands-on experience with young children and practical activities including making crafts, toys and cooking for toddlers. Students learn first aid for infants and toddlers and essential care-giving skills. The course will cover the following:
- Careers in Child Care
- Nutritional requirements and cooking for babies/toddlers
- Play and educational development for children
- Safety and care needs of children
Child Care provides students with the background knowledge for Year 11 and 12 Children, Family and the Community.
