Design
This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain an insight into basic design practice. It includes an understanding of the design elements and principles as they apply to 2D graphics and 3D spaces and products. It is a broad range of contemporary design fields including architecture, graphics and product design. Students will develop digital orthographic and modelling skills, and be introduced to scale model making using laser-cutting and 3D printing technologies.

This design course provides a useful platform for applying many diverse areas of knowledge including visual communication, working in 3D spaces, ergonomics and digital technologies used in tertiary education and industry. This course leads onto the ATAR Design course and has been specifically designed to appeal to those students thinking of pursuing further education at a tertiary level such as University or State Training Provider (STP).
