This introductory course gives students the opportunity to explore the basics of Woodwork, whilst producing a variety of small projects including a spinning top and a marble maze.

During the nine week Wood Technology elective course, students are taught firstly the fundamentals of safe workshop practices and woodworking basics, including the use of hand tools for measuring, marking, and cutting. Introductory machinery students are exposed to include the drill press, sanders, and the laser cutter.

This engaging and exciting course gives students a taste of what they can expect to learn and make in future years.
