Engineering

The Engineering Course has been designed to assist students to develop a range of skills that have been identified by industry as being key competencies for successful careers.

This is done through a series of technology challenges that require the students to utilise skills in structures, mechanisms, electronics and robotics to develop and adapt practical and innovative solutions.

Students may have the opportunity to participate in a number of interschool technology competitions such in robotics and engineering.

Students will often be required to work individually and in teams to develop these solutions and will be assessed on their work under the Technology Process Outcomes.

This course will be particularly valuable to those students who wish to move onto careers in the engineering or technology fields and provides a good introduction to the Engineering Studies senior school courses and a range of University and TAFEWA courses.
